HOPS – Options for Healthy Life Skopje (HOPS) held the first two-day training in the series of trainings intended for paralegals who provide advice and assistance to the communities with which the organization works – sex workers and drug users.

The training was held on May 4 and 5, 2022 and aimed to strengthen the capacity of paralegals to present and transmit information and provide paralegal assistance. Trainers Despina Stojanovska and Margarita Gligurovska focused on approaches to communication with marginalized communities, methods and tools for successful mobilization of people from the communities and their introduction to the services offered by HOPS. Furthermore, it was presented what is the role of paralegal assistance and the way it is implemented in HOPS programs. The training was interactive and participants had the opportunity to share personal experiences as well as gain skills through practical examples and exercises.

The project “Access to Justice for the Most Marginalized” is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia, HOPS – Options for Healthy Life Skopje and the Association for Legal Education and Transparency – Station PET.
