On 5 September 2019, the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia together with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Municipality of Kriva Palanka opened the reconstructed part of the kindergarten “Proletna rosa”, part of the “Detelinka” kindergarten in Kriva Palanka, thus increasing the capacity of the kindergarten to 40 more children.
Foundation Open Society – Macedonia supports the efforts of the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Municipalities for ensuring greater coverage of children in kindergartens.
“Children attending preschool education have a much greater chance of better growth and development and therefore it is very important to increase the capacities and quality of preschool facilities. Every investment in this sector provides a better future for the youngest as well as for the whole society”, stated the Executive Director of the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia, Fani Karanfilova-Panovska.
The construction activities for expansion of the kindergarten capacities in Kriva Palanka have been implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and the Municipality of Kriva Palanka in accordance with the contract for providing funds for adaptation of additional premises which will increase the coverage of children in the municipality.
