Štip was one of the most affected cities with the highest numbers of infected with Covid-19. In anticipation of a new wave of patients, Štip art activists conducted another action with an emphasis on responsibility, i.e., irresponsibility and (mis)actions of institutions in the period when they just transferred the “ball of responsibility” from one institution to another. Because of that, the confusion among the citizens was obvious, but there were also abuses by individuals.
The installation “Ball of Responsibility” placed on the city square “Sloboda” in Štip raises the question “Who possesses the ball and who is to blame???”. With this action, the activists point out to the citizens to ask the question about responsibility, first starting from them, and then asking their employers, institutions, local authorities, and transporters.
The action includes a second installation on the Otinja riverbed, calling on citizens to start putting more pressure on respecting the measures and recommendations in order to animate more citizens, institutions, and employers to raise awareness of adherence to the measures and recommendations, tighter action of inspectorates and institutions during the expected second wave of Covid-19.
