The Independent Academic Union will hold a press conference at the Culture Center “Kino Kultura” (ul. Luj Paster No. 3, Skopje) on 30 October 2009. (Wednesday) at 11:00 am.
At the press conference, the results of the research on the structure of staff in public universities and research institutes will be presented, which clearly show the consequences of long years of inappropriate staffing policies in these sectors, especially with regard to the younger teaching and scientific staff.
The research is implemented within the project “Financial Transparency and Accountability in Higher Education and Science in the Republic of North Macedonia”. The project is supported by the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia.
The research results will be presented by prof. Mimoza Ristova PhD, and prof. Maja Stevanovikj MSc. The press conference will be led by prof. Maja Stevanovikj, president of the Independent Academic Union.
