Finance Think – Institute for Economic Research and Policy, Skopje, organizes a panel discussion on “Vulnerable workers after the corona-rollercoaster” which aims to draw conclusions about the socio-economic impact of Covid-19 on five categories of vulnerable workers (low-paid, informal, domestic paid, unpaid family workers and workers on atypical employment contracts), but also to provide a visionary perspective to strengthen labor market resilience to respond quickly and promptly to future shocks.

The event will be held on 10 June 2021 starting at 11:00 am with a physical presence in the hotel Limak Skopje, in accordance with the protocols for protection from Covid-19, and will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of Finance Think.

At the event, the results and findings contained in the study “The effect of Covid-19 on precarious workers in North Macedonia: Monitoring of low-paid workers, unpaid family workers, paid domestic workers, workers with atypical employment contracts and informal workers” will be presented. The panel discussion is expected to send several key messages related to the socio-economic impact of Covid-19 on vulnerable workers.

Speakers at the event are Fani Karanfilova-Panovska, Executive Director of the Open Society Foundation – Macedonia, Despina Tumanovska, Finance Think, Darko Dimovski, President of the Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia, Angel Dimitrov, President of the Organization of Employers in Macedonia, Daniela Zampini Employment Specialist at the International Labor Organization.
