The Independent Academic Union will hold a press conference at the Culture Center “Kino Kultura” (ul. Luj Paster No. 3, Skopje) on 22 November 2019 (Friday) at 11:00 am.
The press conference will present the results of the research related to the procedure and criteria for allocation of funds to public universities and scientific institutions, the legal bases for regulating the salaries of employees, as well as the analysis of the salaries of employees in the higher education and science department. These results clearly show the consequences of the long-standing inappropriate financing policy in these sectors.
The research has been conducted within the project “Financial transparency and accountability in higher education and science in RNM”. The project is supported by the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia.
The research results will be presented by prof. Mirjana Najčevska PhD, Mimoza Ristova PhD, and prof. Maja Stefanovikj, PhD. The press conference will be moderated by prof. Maja Stevanovikj, president of the Independent Academic Union.
