“Library on Wheels" visits schools in Veles, Karbinci, Vasilevo and Saraj

The “Library on Wheels” has resumed school visits. This time too, through the children’s literature in the merry van, the children from Veles, Karbinci, Vasilevo and Saraj socialized, read, discovered secrets and learned new things.

This vehicle is specially converted into a mobile library and aims to arouse the love of reading and the mother tongue of students who do not have access to a library on a daily basis. Nenad Tonkin and the actress Dolores Popovic realized educational activities and read picture books in Bosnian, Turkish and Macedonian with students from first to fifth grade in the schools “Rajko Zhinzifov” – D. Orizari, Veles, “Strasho Pindzur” – Karbinci, “Goce Delchev” – Vasilevo and “Dituria” – Saraj.

The “Library on Wheels” is part of the project “Education of the smallest ethnic communities” implemented by the Foundation Open Society – Macedonia (FOSM) in partnership with the Foundation “Step by Step”.
