The textile industry was one of the most affected by the pandemic. Many of the textile garments were forced to close or significantly reduce the intensity of work. Given the fact that 5% of the working population in North Macedonia is textile workers, the effects of the pandemic on textile workers and the textile industry as a whole were and remain to be significant. The pandemic, as we have witnessed, put not only jobs but also the health and lives of textile workers at risk.
